A reminder of why we started everything
Draft for frontpage.
Almost 7 years ago when I first heard the name Hogleg on the Pat Green Message Board I found a link to his website saw the wild looking abstract guitar that’s pictured below. I was like, “What is that?!?!” So he sent me this explanation of it that soon would be the core of what “Tore Up” was all about. Eventually, this was the stuff Galleywinter was founded on when we were sitting around his apartment dreaming about how a bunch of fans could help out the music scene. I ran across the email while cleaning up some files on my computer and the thought occured to me that maybe there are people that have never even seen this guitar or know what it stands for. We mainly stick to the Galleywinter logo and the simple slogan of Support Texas Music, but back then… this was our slogan.. our mantra.. our way of life… way back before we had 50 forums and live shows every night of the week. We may stray from time to time, but this is what we always try come back to. Check it out…

The curves represent the back roads and highways we all travel down to go see the show. The fish bones represent country living. The color scheme represents individuality. The browns, blacks, whites and yellows represent diversity. We need to love one another regardless of race or religion. The two red and yellow triangles above the hole represent togetherness as a group with a common bond. They are different colors because we are all different in our own unique way. The red, white and blue, in the neck of the guitar, are for America and the freedom we all share. The open hole in the guitar represents opportunity. Don’t just keep holes covered, uncover your own holes in life and look through them; explore and embrace what you seek. The little Texas symbol represents the musicians and all they have given to Texas. If you will notice right above the little Texas, there is a black musical note. It represents the music we all love. The no strings concept is for you! String your own guitar and play it the way you want to play it in life. Peace, Love & Happiness.
