Band Of Heathens – If I Needed You

This song has been running through my head all day… constantly reminding my of my wife Christy. It’s originally a Townes Van Zandt song and just drips with the lyrical poetry that he is known for. The performance of this version is by The Band of Heathens and they do an exceptional job of conveying the mood and emotion that Townes did in his version. Like any Townes song.. words do little justice, so i’ll shut up and just let you have a listen.

If I needed you, would you come to me
Would you come to me, and ease my pain?
If you needed me, I would come to you
I’d swim the seas to ease your pain.

In the night forlorn, the morning’s born
And the morning shines with the lights of love.
If you close your eyes you will miss sunrise
That would break my heart in two

If I needed you, would you come to me
Would you come to me, and ease my pain?
If you needed me, I would come to you
I’d swim the seas to ease your pain.

The lady’s with me now since I showed her how
To lay her lily hand in mine
Loop and Lil agree, she’s a sight to see
And a treasure for the poor to find.

If I needed you, would you come to me
Would you come to me, and ease my pain?
If you needed me, I would come to you
I’d swim the seas to ease your pain.

I have been surfing online greater than 3 hours lately, but I never found any interesting article like yours. It?s pretty price enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content material as you did, the internet will likely be much more useful than ever before.
