Bingham Artwork

Tonight I walked up to my door and found a package laying on my doorstep. My cousin, Luke, is an artist and I’ve talked off and on to him about doing some work for me so when I saw his name on the package I started getting really excited! I ripped it open and pulled out the piece… and I just sat there staring speechless… it was one that centered around Bingham. He and I have talked off and on about Bingham and he understand what his music means to me and had done for me over this past year. But what is really cool is that he loves Bingham too and his music has impacted his life as well. This was the last thing I’d ever thought he would give me.. but the best thing I could have gotten.

The photo doesn’t do this piece justice. I’ve literally been staring at it for hours… the depth and detail is so unreal. What is truly amazing is that the words that Luke included are from the song that pretty much flipped the switch in my soul when I first heard Bingham sing them. It’s from the song “Ever Wonder Why”…

But I have not forgot that the food in the pot ain’t cookin’ for a boy like me
I been fightin’ all night with the dogs in the alley, looking for a bone to eat
Been starving to death

Everybody’s troubled with the hustle and the bustle
The payment on the house is late
If I ever have a problem like that
I guess I’ll be in pretty good shape

Hope you dig it.. I sure do! Here’s the whole song if you’ like to take a listen.

“Ever Wonder Why” by Ryan Bingham

@sara Here’s his myspace… you may have to friend him first.. he’s got some of his stuff on there and I’m sure he’d do some some.. http://www.myspace.com/sunnyslopeslim

@savannah I have no idea… There’s a bunch of overlay and then it’s like he took a razor and texturized it and then really grunged it up.

beautiful subject matter= beautiful artwork! I have dwelled on that exact line from that song as well. We really have nothing to complain about, do we?
