Bingham – Warehouse Live show review

Bingham played one of my favorite venues on Wednesday night when he took the stage at Warehouse Live in front of an almost sold out crowd. His rise back here in Texas has been a slow one and I wouldn’t have believed there were that many people there to see Bingham if I wasn’t there to see it happen. I’m proud that Bingham is getting the recognition that he deserves.

These days around the Texas Music scene, our crew rarely all make an appearance at any one show.. let alone a school night show, but last night was definitely the exception. It was great to see all the faces I haven’t seen in a while.. some coming in from Austin and beyond… and even got to meet a few new ones as the night went on.

Bingham played all the regular ones he normally plays and even threw in a couple new ones just to tease us! Every song had that combination of high energy and deep concentration that only Bingham can deliver. Trying to explain his show truly can’t be done very well with just words, but i could definitely see the waves of understanding wash over the crowd as each song ended and another began. I think June described it in a post over on Galleywinter with the simple words “I’m a believer”. Amen, June.

Here’s some pics from the night over on Flickr.

I caught one of the newer songs that I really like on video. My guess is that it’s called Bluebird but who really knows. Quality is OK, but nothing spectacular.

WL was a pretty cool venue…for Houston. ;-) Just jokes.

Love the video!! And that Bingham guy’s not so bad either.
