Our own brand of diversity
Well October was a great month for music around Texas! 4 CD’s were released at the beginning of the month and apparently someone put together a nice Affirmative Action plan that I was unaware of. The diversity within the 4 albums is amazing!

And beyond the music being amazing, the diversity is also encouraging. As a long time Texas Music fan I’ve seen album after album released.. but I’ve never seen anything like this. I can’t keep a CD in long enough before I need to change it with another! And not only that, but each CD encompasses an entirely different mood and state of mind. Something that normally takes a year of releases to accomplish.
I think the family tree of Texas Music has finally forked and we all benefit from it. I know there is going to be some fall back and people saying they don’t like it.. people just don’t like change. But without change we will all just get bored and eventually this whole thing will die. So thanks to these 4 guys for pushing themselves to break out of a mold and be influenced by more people than Pat Green or mainline country outlaws.

I completely agree….I have been in new music overload since early October. I love it, not complaining but I am OVERwhelmed right now. In a good way, of course!
