Steamboat 09 – Day 1

Steamboat Day 1 has been a yearly tradition of meeting at the local sports bar, Lupo’s, and welcoming everyone as they come in. But last year they leveled our landmark to make room for a new set of condo’s. So instead we all met over at another local spot called, Tugboat, to watch the game and welcome everyone in! It was a great time seeing everyone both old and new… and hearing all the stories of years past and talk of who is seeing what show on what day. There was definitely electricity in the air.

The snow started dumping around 3:00 in steamboat, but fortunately everyone (that I know of) make it in with only minor delays. All the ski’s are rented, the bags are unpacked and the frig’s are stocked. We’ll be skiing and finish passing our all the freebies this morning and start hitting the shows around 2:00.
