Steamboat - Day 4
Day 4 review coming from the truck rolling through Kansas! It started wheels off at Adam Hood at 3:00 over at Bear River and Adam put on a show that sounded like one of the best I’ve heard him ever play. The sound was just great! And on top of all that the venue was PACKED… which I didn’t really see at any other time. Check out the pic below of the crowd.
Ray Wylie Hubbard was next up at Bear River and while I had headed up to the condo for dinner Bama and Kathy stayed and said that it was an awesome show with various artists coming up with him including Robert Earl Keen doing a cover of Sin City!
After regrouping at the condo for a few hours everyone pretty much split up between the shows of the evening and some people stayed in the condo and played guitars and listened to music and hung out. Johnny Cooper was able to play before Wade Bowen for his make up show that got canceled earlier in the week. He put on a great show as quick as it was. Wade came on next and had Seth James playing with them! Wish Seth would have played even just a short set somewhere this year but oh well… that show will just have to do. Reckless closed out the night at the Grand which is where most of our crew was. Josh said that is was a great show and a perfect way to end steamboat!
This was a pretty quick review and I hope to put together some overall thoughts in the next day or so. It was an awesome trip and I met several new friends and had fun with some long time friends as well… If you didn’t go.. start saving NOW!!!
