Here we are smack in the middle of the release of several great albums! The forum leads are fighting over who gets the featured artist spot to promote the new tunes… the countdowns to CD release days have begun.. the Texas maps are being unfolded and scanned for the most scenic drive between CD release shows.. it’s a great feeling.
There are so many different cool things that surround CD releases… There is always some cool package that you can buy with a vinyl record or some other cool swag you can only get around that time. Other bands start redesigning the websites to match the latest album. One cool thing that is upcoming is Stoney’s DVD showing for his Live @ Billy Bob’s recording. I mean really.. how cool is it to go sit in a theater with a bunch of friends and watch a live DVD.
I hope things like this set the bar for what’s to come. The artists are coming up with new and interesting ways to promote their music to the fans and we should embrace that. So quit stealing the album off the internet and preorder the upcoming CD package or CD Release tickets! Support their love to want to give us more!
