The next 10 years

Sometimes a band comes through town and I just think… “Maybe next time, it’s been a long day.” Well this morning I read something that reminded me that maybe I need to get off the couch and go take advantage of the opportunity. In an article from the Houston Press, they were digging around some old copies and posted some shows from 10 years ago. One that stuck out to me was,

“…Gary Stewart brought his honky-tonk supreme to Tin Hall”

that one sentance kinda got me sad, thinking about how Gary Stewart is no longer alive to play Tin Hall anymore. I’ll never get a chance to see him play “Your place or mine”, “Whiskey Trip” or “An Empty Glass” again. Made me wish I would have gotten off the couch and made the run out to Tin Hall.

We never know when these guys are going to be taken from us or move on to other things, get out there and live a little… or alot!
