The Superfecta Cometh - The Bingham Edition

It’s spring time around Texas and that means everyone is chomping at the bit to get out and take some roadtrips! Next weekend we kick it off with a hard core roadtrip around Texas we like to call the “Superfecta”. It’s named after the horse racing bet where you bet on the first 4 horses to cross the finish line. And as you might guess… the Superfecta, for us, means hitting 4 consecutive shows in 4 separate towns of the same artist. It’s one heck of a road trip and I don’t know many people that have done it.

But this time around, when Ryan Bingham’s Texas schedule was posted.. the buzz around making all 4 shows is pretty impressive. It looks like we’ll have several people on the Superfecta, even more making a Trifecta (yep, you guessed it.. 3 shows in a row), and tons at least at 1-2 of the shows. So when I got copied on this email between two friends earlier today I got really excited!

Thursday night you’re coming to ATX with Tank for a quick road trip. You will return home Thursday night and work Friday. Friday night I will be there and we will go to the Bingham show at Fitzgerald’s. Saturday you have all day to do whatever you need to do. I will attend a wedding in Houston at 4:30. We will depart H-town as soon as possible after the wedding and head to Gruene (unless you want to go earlier with someone else) for Bingham. From Gruene we will return Austin. Sunday we will rise and shine early for a bloody mary at Trudy’s or El Arroyo then head to Bingham at Luckenbach for the day!! : ) I will take you to the airport Monday morning and you will officially be tore up.

I love seeing people getting excited about hanging out, road tripping together and taking in some good live music! And actually I’m going to be catching up with an old friend from high school I haven’t seen in probably 10 years. Live music and roadtrips are the perfect opportunity to build friendships and really get to know each other outside of a bar setting. Christy and I will be staying with several friends throughout the trip and it’ll be fun to just hang out and have some fun.
